Thana & Faten - two sisters sharing the same family name and a love for words and languages.
From watching inspirational Syrian TV shows like "Al-Fusool Al-Arba'a" to being captivated by the melodramatic storytelling of Turkish series, Mexican telenovelas such as "María Mercedes," and British dramas like "Doctor Who," we grew up exposed to a diverse array of languages, dialects, and accents.
Whether it was immersing ourselves in the distinctive American dialogue of shows like "Friends" and "3rd Rock From the Sun," or appreciating the cultural nuances portrayed in various European productions, our experiences shaped our curiosity to explore, learn, and interact with different nationalities and cultures.

Our love for languages and expertise in education and marketing drove us to create Kalima Studio for copywriting, translation & transcreation.
Over the past decade, we have completed many translation, copywriting, and transcreation projects for prominent organisations such as Unilever. Our work has spanned multiple product categories, including beauty, food, detergent, and lifestyle brands. In addition, we have collaborated with MBC Group to provide translations of show bibles, synopses, and scripts for popular TV shows and movies now available on major platforms like Netflix and Shahid.
